Twitter.com new look

When was the last time you visited Twitter's website to catch up? Perhaps sensing that it's an app world after all, the microblogging service is polishing up its website to look more like its own mobile apps.

Twitter announced a new look for Twitter.com on Monday, using its own service to tweet out the news that the website is receiving a fresh coat of paint more in line with the company's own mobile apps.

"We're now rolling out a refreshed twitter.com reflecting the look & feel of our iOS & Android apps," one tweet announced, with a screenshot of the new look attached.

A second tweet moments later elaborated that Twitter.com users will also have the ability to personalize their profile page with an accent color, including customization of background color and link color.

Curiously, Twitter makes no mention of the new look on their blog or news pages, but the rollout appears to be a gradual one -- we're still seeing the old Twitter.com here.

Will the new look and feel make you more inclined to use the website, or will Twitter have to pry Tweetbot out of your cold, dead hands?
